Hello Dear Readers...

Yesterday, my mom had a heart attack during what turned out not to be a routine stress test.  She was in the right place when it happened, and underwent emergency angioplasty.  This morning, she is doing well and resting comfortably, and we expect a solid recovery.  Unfortunately, I will not be posting this week.  Just too busy and crazed to concentrate right now.  The story will pick up again next week.  My apologies for leaving you hanging.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind women everywhere to take their heart health seriously.  My mother had tightness in her chest, constant "indigestion", and unusual fatigue for two weeks before she decided to mention it to her doctor, who sent her for the stress test.  She may have been able to avoid any heart damage at all if she had taken her symptoms seriously when they first appeared.  I had my heart attack at 53 yrs of age with no obvious markers or symptoms until that day, but because I reacted immediately, I am still here to tell you about it.  Ladies and Gents...if you don't feel right...listen to your body and seek immediate medical attention.  Heart Attacks are the LEADING killer of women...heads above cancers of any kind.  Heed your Heart!

Best to you all,
Vicki
